Jersey Construction Council

Proposed Infrastructure Levy - JeCC's Response

With the proposed introduction of a Jersey Infrastructure Levy (JIL) on the Construction Industry and since this was first proposed, the JeCC has fought the Minister's plans on the basis that this will have a major impact on the viability of the industry in the Island.

Over the past few months the Council has engaged with other interested parties who are against this Levy and a response has been submitted to the Minister for his consideration and members can view this response on the JeCC website, www.jerseyconstruction.org or by clicking here.  An expected reply from the Minister is due to be released at the beginning of November.

In the meantime, the Chairman of the JeCC, Martin Holmes, has given an interview to the JEP and a copy of this interview can be found by clicking here and a further article regarding the response made to the Minister can also be found by viewing the following link here.
