Naga Munchetty to be Guest Speaker at 2021 JeCC Awards

Award winning journalist and broadcaster, Naga Munchetty to be Guest Speaker at forthcoming JeCC Awards

Following the cancellation of the 2020 JeCC Awards due to the Covid pandemic, the event will return in 2021 taking place on Saturday 16 October at the Royal Jersey Showground with award winning journalist and broadcaster Naga Munchetty joining as the Guest Speaker for this prestigious event.

Naga is known and loved nationwide as one of the main presenters on morning news.

Her career as a journalist began at the Evening Standard and The Observer newspapers, and soon moved into reporting for Reuters Financial Television. Naga was named by the Asian Power List as one of the UK’s most powerful Asian females. She has presented a number of TV shows and factual documentaries and has won numerous awards, including most recently, ‘the ‘Media Personality of the Year’ and the JeCC is delighted that she has agreed to join the event later in the year.

With what has been a challenging time for the construction industry over the past 18 months, the Council feels it appropriate more than ever to hold the event in order to celebrate the successes within the industry.

During the past months, the industry has, like other industry sectors, incurred significant challenges which has resulted in changes to working practices but has seen the industry rise to the challenges in an impressive manner and now is the time to celebrate these achievements.

The event will be a celebration of the industry and thanks must go to all of our sponsors who have shown their commitment in supporting this popular event.
