The Jersey Construction Council would like to add their congratulations to those involved in the recently completed construction of the Nightingale Hospital.
The project that has been completed by 541 personnel of which 510 have been from local Jersey residents and a total of 89 sub-contractors/suppliers with 83 of these being local firms. An outstanding contribution from the industry proving that the Island does have the capacity and resources to all come together and deliver such a technical and challenging project.
Despite this being a massive challenge to the industry and working long hours often on a 24 hour, 7 day a week rota all those involved rallied together to create a “happy site” and all working to the same objective of creating a facility that could be critical to the island-wide community.
The J3 project team have stated that they were overwhelmed with the help and generosity of the industry from management, sub-contractors and suppliers which has given the industry the opportunity to showcase their talents.
It is also important to note that not only did the industry work well together but there was great co-operation between the government and industry in order to achieve this project on time and within huge logistical constraints.
A number of JeCC firms were involved in this project and our thanks must go to them for their time and resources in fulfilling this fantastic facility.
