Draft guidance for businesses to prepare for Level 2

On 1 June, the Deputy Chief Minister announced the Government’s intention to move to Level 2 of the Safe Exit Framework on 12 June, if conditions remained safe to do so.

Subject to updated medical advice, Ministers will confirm the move to Level 2 on Thursday 11 June, to take place from Friday 12 June at 00:01

In summary, you will need to communicate effectively with your customer on how you will work safely within their home. Risk assessments, method statements, a record of who attends site, time on site etc are all good practice and will safeguard you and your customers safety. As a reminder, if you plan to have more than 2 operatives working on site at any one time, you will need to apply for a construction permit

This is extremely good news for the industry, and we ask that you follow the guidelines implicitly and stay safe.

The draft details on working safely in people’s homes are detailed below

Permits are required for any construction activity or site where more than 2 people are present. Should you need to apply for a permit, see below
