| While there is no maximum temperature in law at which it is too hot to work, employers must improve thermal comfort where possible. An acceptable working environment is dependent on a number of variable factors including: air temperature and humidity, air movement, nature of the work. Consideration should include: encouraging employees to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, evaluating dress code, including type of PPE worn, consider altering working hours to start and finish earlier.
