Working during hot weather

While there is no maximum temperature in law at which it is too hot to work, employers must improve thermal comfort where possible. An acceptable working environment is dependent on a number of variable factors including: air temperature and humidity, air movement, nature of the work. Consideration should include: encouraging employees to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, evaluating dress code, including type of PPE worn, consider altering working hours to start and finish earlier.
