Benest and Syvret are a small local firm focused on representation of local businesses, particularly in the local construction industry. Clients range from small contractors through to some of the islands largest developers.
The Property Team is headed up by Philip Syvret a solicitor with almost unrivalled local experience. The team have structured some of the islands biggest developments of residential property. Philip Syvret was the lead advisor on the Islands first Planning Obligation Agreement and has concluded numerous such agreements since. He regularly advises on Planning appeals. He was formerly appointed by the States of Jersey to Chair the Heath and Safety Tribunal.
The litigation team is made up of Advocates Nina Benest, Darry Robinson and Gerg Herold - Howes. Each are tenacious litigators. Advocate Benest has in depth experience of building disputes and mediation. Advocate Robinson formerly worked as a prosecutor and takes the lead in Heath and Safety breach matters, particularly in respect of criminal matters before the Royal Court. Advocate Howes has considerable experience in Planning Appeals and related aspects.
