Jersey Business Seminars

Jersey Business in partnership with BCR law and the IOD will be holding two webinar sessions next week to which JeCC members are invited to attend.

The first is focused on directors duties and trading during financial difficulties and the second webinar is focused on the new family law, both you’ll agree are very important in the current climate.

Are you a Company Director? Update on your responsibilities 
Are you the owner of a limited company trading in Jersey? Are you a director of an established trading business? If the answer is yes to either question, and with increased uncertainty because of the COVID-19 crisis, now more than ever you need to understand the growing number of responsibilities you have as a director of your company.
 
These 2 x easy to digest online morning sessions will be delivered by BCR Law
 
Session 1 - Directors duties and directors duties during financial difficulties - 15th July 9.30am
At the first session you will learn about:
 
·       The key things you need to be aware of in your role as director of a trading company
·       What trading wrongfully would mean for you.
·       Sources of more information and support
 
Session 2 - Changes to Family Friendly Law - 16th July 9.30am 
At the second session you will learn about:
 
·       Changes to employment legislation including parental leave
·       Practical steps to start addressing these changes
·       Sources of more information and support
 
You will also receive a copy of the IOD’s Guidelines for Jersey Directors after the seminar.
 
In order to address any concerns or questions you have regarding the topics to be covered during both events Jersey Business would welcome these prior to the sessions.
