2016 Award Winners announced at Gala Event
Completing a hugely successful Construction Week, the winners of the 2016 JeCC awards were announced at the Gala Dinner held on Saturday night at the Hotel de France where the evening commenced with a champagne reception sponsored by Villeroy & Boch.
Over 300 people attended the dinner where guest speaker was Matt Dawson MBE who was hugely entertaining giving the audience an insight to stories from his rugby career, A Question of Sport, Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity MasterChef. Matt then went on to present the winners with their awards and then was superb in co-ordinating the auction for a rugby shirt signed by himself that eventually went for a staggering £3,500 and was donated by Stephen Ross-Gower of RGA Consulting Engineers. who has said that his main aim was for The Brick Foundation to benefit from these funds as he is a great supporter of the Foundation's work and with member support the Brick Foundation will be able to complete another community project in 2017 that could be in the region of £40k+.
During and after dinner the guests were entertained by Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists Zyrah Rose and local artiste Chaz Chapman.
This year the winner of the JeCC Lifetime Achiever Award was Edward Baker who was a very popular winner with all those who attended.
